A Considered Approach to Children’s Artwork
J Rose Studio began quietly during time spent painting at home with my young children. What started as a shared activity quickly became a personal practice, something I continued long after they had moved on to other things.
As my work evolved, I created a custom piece for a close friend’s nursery. The response to that piece, and the way it lived in the space, helped shape the direction of the work.
Today, J Rose Studio focuses on original, design-forward abstract artwork for children’s spaces. The work is grounded in intentional composition, balance, and emotional presence expressed through harmonious palettes and expressive layers.
Rather than following trends or themes, the focus is on creating artwork that supports a space, feels elevated, and remains relevant over time.
Each piece begins as an original painting. The artwork always comes first. Personalization is optional and is treated as a subtle, artist-applied detail.
My goal is to create pieces that feel both personal and lasting: art that is chosen for its beauty, and kept because it still feels right over time.
This work has become a joyful creative practice, and I’m grateful to be sharing it more widely.
